One of the things we love most about Llanfor is its location. Whether you're looking for a relaxing break by the sea, an active holiday or the chance to experience Pembrokeshire's incredible wildlife, there's something here for everyone.
Whitesands Bay is one of the area's best-known beaches, with its wide stretch of golden sand and clear waters. It's a favourite for families, surfers and anyone looking to spend a day by the sea. The surrounding scenery is equally impressive, with the Pembrokeshire Coast Path running alongside the beach.
Closer to Llanfor, Pwllgwaelod Beach is a peaceful, sheltered cove between Fishguard and Newport. It's ideal for a quieter afternoon by the water, enjoying a picnic or simply taking in the stunning coastal views. The beach also sits directly on the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, making it a perfect stop during a walk.
Boat trips operate throughout the season, giving visitors the chance to explore the spectacular coastline and visit nearby islands, including Grassholm and Skomer. Depending on the time of year, you may spot puffins, seals, dolphins, porpoises and thousands of seabirds, making it a fantastic day out for nature lovers and photographers alike.
The Pembrokeshire Coast Path is one of the most beautiful walking routes in Britain, stretching for 186 miles through the UK's only coastal national park. Whether you're looking for a gentle stroll or a more challenging hike, you'll be rewarded with dramatic cliffs, hidden coves, sweeping sea views and an abundance of wildlife along the way. Many wonderful sections of the path are just a short distance from Llanfor.
If you enjoy being active, you'll find plenty of opportunities nearby. Pembrokeshire is well known for its outdoor adventures, including:
Surfing at some of Wales' best beaches
Coasteering along the rugged coastline
Backpacking and hiking through the national park
Wildlife cruises and island boat trips
Kayaking and paddleboarding
Stargazing beneath Pembrokeshire's wonderfully dark skies

We want you to relax, settle in and enjoy Llanfor as your home from home. We just ask that you help us look after our lovely old chapel during your stay.
Check-in is from 4pm and check-out is by 10am. This gives our cleaning team plenty of time to get Llanfor ready and welcoming for our next guests.
We love welcoming four-legged guests! We would prefer dogs not to go into the bedrooms and ask that they are kept off the beds and furniture.
Lower Town is a peaceful little community, so please keep noise to a minimum, particularly during the evening and early morning.
You’re very welcome to smoke or vape outside, but please dispose of everything carefully.
Please be aware that the Lower Town car park can flood during particularly high tides. If high tides are expected during your stay, we recommend moving your vehicle to higher ground. You’ll find more information in our local guide.
Accidents happen! If anything is broken, damaged or stops working, please let us know as soon as possible. We’d much rather know so that we can help.
Please leave used towels and bedding in the bathroom, put rubbish in the appropriate bins and make sure windows and doors are closed and locked.
Make yourself at home, explore Pembrokeshire and have a wonderful stay!
Thank you for choosing Llanfor and for helping us look after our special little chapel.
